Our house is located on the Neckar Valley Cycle Route, the Odenwald-Madonnen Cycle Route and the Heidelberg-Black Forest-Lake Constance Cycle Route. Here are some nice routes to choose from.
Route 1: Ladenburg
First, you head to direction Bismarckplatz, cross the Neckar and then go on the bike path direction Ladenburg / Weinheim. The bike path leads you in the immediate vicinity of the Neckar to Ladenburg. In Ladenburg, small street cafés and the picturesque old town invite you to contemplative hours in good weather.
Distance: approx. 22 km (Heidelberg – Ladenburg – Heidelberg)
Route 2: Neckargmünd
Alongside the Neckar, the bike path leads you through the old town of Heidelberg to Neckargemünd. The route is flat and the old town of Neckargemünd is worth a visit in any case. For the way back you can either ride on the other side of the Neckar or across Schlierbach.
Distance: approx. 18 km (Heidelberg – Neckargemünd – Heidelberg)
Route 3: Palatinate Route
This bike path starts below the Heidelberg castle on the Kornmarkt. Passing Schwetzingen Castle with its magnificent parks, Speyer at the Rhein is the destination. If the return trip is too far for you, you can also take the S-Bahn (public transportation)
